Ever heard the song Open Your Eyes by Snow Patrol? Now if you have 15 minutes to spare, help me do a little experiment. First, watch this MV. Then, watch this one.

Apparently, the official MV (I think you know which) was made by a French film maker in the 1976. An anonymous racer drove through the streets, illegally, to capture that video. Lots of big bands and commercials asked if they could use the video, but for twenty seven years, the French film maker stubbornly refused to grant permission….until he heard Open Your Eyes. He felt the song conveyed the message of the video (or vice versa?) so accurately he approached Snow Patrol and asked them to use this video for the song.

I’m curious, what do you think the 2nd MV was trying to tell you? How different were the effects of the two videos?
