Last Saturday, I volunteered at Community@Heart’s Kids Holiday Camp. The 6-7 year olds stole my heart.
They were so innocent, so trusting. Whenever they were upset or tired, they just came running to sit in my lap and let me hug them tight. They barely even knew me–and they never once doubted that I would receive them in an embrace.
I wish I could be like that and run to God’s lap without second thoughts whenever I feel small, lousy and unloved. If my lap is a nice place to be, I’m trying to imagine how much more comfort God’s lap would bring.
Oh God heal my afraid heart.
