I grew up listening to the “You Can Do Great Things” speech over and over. Sometimes it inspired me, sometimes it irked me, sometimes it just plain bored me to sleep.
And then your life runs like a cog on a boring machine, and soon there’s nothing left inside you to sustain those great dreams. It just makes you feel good for awhile, you think.
That’s where you either make a choice to slip into deeper oblivion to the plight of others around, or you decide you can harness the inspiration and actually do something.
This renews my hope in humanity.
